I provide a joyful and effortless photographic experience to brides and grooms, couples, families, and parents-to-be! When I'm not creating timeless imagery, you can find me updating my first home with my other half, Tyler, or binge-watching Netflix with a bowl of popcorn nearby.
August tends to be a very hot month here in Ontario. However, we were so fortunate that the weather decided to cool down to a comfortable 23 degrees (celsius) for Oliver and Megan’s farm wedding! The day started and ended beautifully. The burst of wind was a challenge, but we made it work! Thankfully, it died down just in time for their sunset portraits!! On my drive home after the wedding, I thought about how special and unique their wedding was and how happy I am for Oliver and Megan! I have known Megan for a long time and to see (and capture) her marry her best friend made me feel so honoured!
I always say that no wedding is perfect no matter how hard you try to make it. What does “perfect” even mean?! This is why I love to work with couples who are easy-going because they don’t stress at all if some flukes happen here and there! They go with the flow of the day! This wedding definitely had memorable moments that I’m sure Oliver and Megan will love to share and laugh about over and over again! For example, during the ceremony the Best Man, Jordan forgot Megan’s wedding band!!! Thankfully, the Officiant was Megan’s Aunt and she just borrowed her band! This event definitely rendered some gasps from the guests as well as some fun family laughter and banter afterwards!
During the speeches, the Maid of Honour, Ryley, as well as another bridesmaid, Melissa, gave a wonderful, tearful speech about Megan and Oliver. It was beautiful to hear the history these two girls share with Megan and how they are so happy Megan found someone to spend the rest of her life with! Jordan’s speech about Oliver and Megan definitely had the guests in hysterics and me as well! In the words of Megan, she was a “puddle” throughout the speeches.
I am so honoured and thankful that Oliver and Megan chose me to be the one to document their wedding!
Oliver and Megan, CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding and enjoy this new season of your life! Enjoy some of my favourites from your big day!
